Hi, my name is Adam Williams and I am the creative behind ‘Adam J Design’. This is my own little corner in the ever expanding World Wide Web. In here you will find my creative ways of thinking on all subjects of design.
“But I find that for myself, without exception, the more I deal with the work as something that is my own, as something that is personal, the more successful it is.” – Author unknown.
That is my outlook on design. I take a personal approach to every project, that way, I know I have given my client my best. If I do not want to put it in my portfolio, I know I haven't done the best I can. I want everything I design/create to be a part of my portfolio, success and most important... my clients success. I have a wide range of mediums in my portfolio. Implementing creative ideas for businesses such as logos, websites, letterhead, business cards, advertisements, posters, tradeshow booths, packaging and more.
My life is design and I love it. I surround myself in it every day. I can no longer read a magazine or book. I have to see what fonts they used, how the layout is set up, make sure the graphics are color corrected, the leading and kerning is set right, that there are no orphans, that it is visualy captivating and interesting. Yes, it is a problem, but one that I am willing to deal with. I absolutely love what I do, I want to learn, I think critically and creatively and I have the right attitude.
I also love soccer and music. I coach youth boys soccer at Charlotte Soccer Academy. My love of music has also brought me a love for concert posters. This love has given me the opportunity to design concert posters for a few, pretty damn cool, rock bands.
I am the creative behind Adam J Design. I love being a designer. Not everybody gets to create the way the world sees itself in this graphically influenced world... but, I do. It has been really fun, frustrating, exciting, bright, colorful and rewarding. I have been in the industry for over 15 years.
Not that I need any kind of security. He just wanted to be on the world wide web. He is the "cute" factor. Kuma is an Akita. Loyal, strong, stubborn. They say that people pick dogs that match their personality, not sure if thats true... I am not that stubborn.
The iMac is the machine behind the magic. I make it look good, he makes it work. He runs Adobe CC and all the fun programs within that family of applications.
I illustrate ideas. This is a fun and cool way to be creative for me. From posters to icons to infographic elements. In some ways, it's like being a kid with a crayon again... only with Adobe Illustrator instead.
Exactly what it says. I have a full hands-on approach to logo design and branding. I research the company, their demographic, their competition and their product to make sure the design captures the company as a whole to give them what they need to standout in their marketplace. I have learned a great deal about many industries through this process. It is a good feeling when a client says "Wow, that's it!"
Everything design. Laying out objects and text together to form a cohesive message is important. You have to get the message across in a way that suits the needs of the projects and the clients.
